Graduates of the Bachelor of Nursing Science program, which requires four years of study, receive a professional license and can work in healthcare services within government agencies, state enterprises, or the private sector. Their duties include providing care and support to alleviate symptoms, assessing health conditions, promoting and restoring health, and performing various medical procedures.
Scope of Care:
- Health assessment, including blood pressure or other vital signs measurement, blood sugar monitoring, urinary catheter care, stoma bag changing, feeding tube adjustment, internal catheter cleaning, administering medications and nutrients via saline infusion, basic medical checks, and recording important health data.
- Wound care, stitching wounds with no more than 3 stitches.
- Bathing and changing clothes.
- Feeding, including administering food through feeding tubes.
- Medication management as prescribed by physicians.
- Stoma bag care.
- Bowel care.
- Assistance with physical movement.
- Escorting to scheduled medical appointments.
